General Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all events, services, and products provided by Young Wine Society, a registered general partnership (VOF) based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. By purchasing a ticket, attending an event, or engaging with the Young Wine Society brand, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Ticket Sales & Admission

Tickets are non-refundable, unless otherwise stated. Tickets may be transferred to another person by the doing of oneself or with written notice to Young Wine Society. Admission to events is only granted upon presentation of a valid ticket. Attendees must be 18 years or older to consumer alcoholic beverages within the EU/UK and 21 years or older to consumer alcoholic beverages within the USA - ID will need to be present and shown.

Event Conduct

Young Wine Society expects respectful and responsible behaviour at all events. Young Wine Society reserves the right to remove any attendee whose behaviour is disruptive or harmful. All events are subject to change or cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances; and in such cases, ticket holders will be notified and offered a refund or rescheduled date.

Liability

Participation in tastings and events is at your own risk. Young Wine Society is not liable for personal injury, loss, or damage to personal belongings during events.

Photography & Video

By attending a Young Wine Society event, you consent to the possibility of being photographed or filmed. These materials may be used by Young Wine Society for marketing purposes, including but not limited to website, social media platforms, and promotional content. If you do not wish to appear in any visual content, please notify us in advance by emailing youngwinesociety@gmail.com or inform a staff member at the event.

Privacy Policy

Young Wine Society is committed to protecting your privacy and personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Data Collection & Use

We may collect and process the following data: Name, email address, and contact details, ticket purchase and attendance data, communication preferences, and images and video recordings during events.

We use your data to process ticket sales and event registrations, communicate event updates or relevant news, share marketing materials via newsletter (with consent), document and promote events via photography and video.

We do not share your personal data with third parties unless legally required or necessary for event delivery (e.g., ticket platform or payment provider).

Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. When data is no longer required, we will ensure it is securely deleted or anonymised in accordance with GDPR standards.

User Rights

You have the right to, access your data, request correction or deletion, withdraw consent at any time, raise a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
